1. About Chairbase
Chairbase provides browser-based business front-desk software, including scheduling, customer records, staff access, billing tools, reporting, support, and related services. “Chairbase,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Chairbase service. Questions may be sent to support@chairbase.studio.
2. Accounts and authorized use
You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and use Chairbase only for lawful business purposes. Workspace owners are responsible for their staff access, their business's customer data, and ensuring that their use of communications features complies with applicable law and carrier requirements.
3. Subscriptions and payment
Paid access is licensed per user at the price displayed before checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval until canceled. Stripe or its affiliated checkout service processes payments and provides the applicable payment terms, receipts, and subscription controls. Taxes may be added where required. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable.
When a business enables customer deposits, the business—not Chairbase—is the merchant providing the booked service. Stripe processes the customer's card payment directly for the business's connected account. The business sets its deposit amount, cancellation cutoff, and policy, which are displayed before booking. Eligible refunds requested through a Chairbase management link are submitted to the business's connected payment account; timing remains subject to Stripe, the card network, and the business's policy.
4. Business and customer data
Workspace owners retain their rights in the business and customer data they enter. They authorize Chairbase to host, process, back up, and transmit that data as needed to provide and secure the service. Businesses must have an appropriate legal basis for entering and using customer information, including mobile numbers.
5. Chairbase Booking Notifications SMS terms
Program and consent
With the recipient's voluntary consent, Chairbase may send recurring automated informational text messages on behalf of the business identified in the message. Messages may include booking confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notices, cancellations, matching waitlist openings, and directly related customer-care responses. Consent is not a condition of booking, purchase, or receiving services. Promotional or marketing messages require a separate express written opt-in.
Frequency and charges
Message frequency varies with booking and waitlist activity and is generally 1–5 messages per booking or active waitlist request. Message and data rates may apply according to the recipient's wireless plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt-out and help
Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, or CANCEL to opt out. After a valid opt-out, no additional messages will be sent other than one confirmation unless the recipient later opts in again. Reply HELP for help or email support@chairbase.studio. A recipient may also ask the business that collected consent to update their preference.
Privacy
Mobile opt-in data and consent are used only to provide the requested messaging program and are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy and SMS opt-in policy.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, access another workspace without authorization, upload unlawful or harmful material, interfere with security, send unsolicited communications, or use purchased, rented, transferred, or third-party messaging consent.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Chairbase reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may change features to improve security, comply with law, or develop the service. Material changes to these terms will be posted with a revised effective date.
Subscribers may request help through the in-app support queue or at support@chairbase.studio. Our normal response target is one business day, but it is an operational target rather than a guaranteed service level. Security and widespread availability incidents are prioritized.
8. Suspension and termination
You may cancel through the available subscription controls. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, abuse, security risk, or material breach. Data export or deletion requests may be submitted through support and remain subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
After verifying a workspace owner's deletion request, we target removal of the active workspace within 30 days. Limited billing, security, consent, dispute, and legal records may be retained for the periods described in the Privacy Policy. Deleted information may remain in encrypted rolling backups until those backups expire and will not be restored to active use except for disaster recovery, when the deletion is reapplied.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chairbase is provided “as is” and without implied warranties. Chairbase is not a substitute for a business's professional judgment, legal obligations, bookkeeping, or emergency communications. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chairbase will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
