The consent presented at the front desk
A business may create or update a customer record without enabling text messages. The checkbox is separate, optional, and always blank for a new customer. Authorized business staff select it only after the customer voluntarily agrees.
How consent is recorded
- The customer voluntarily provides a mobile number during booking or an in-person or telephone conversation with the business.
- Authorized business staff present the disclosure above and ask whether the customer wants booking-related texts.
- If the customer agrees, staff select the previously blank checkbox. A booking or customer record can still be saved if the customer declines.
- Chairbase records the consent status, UTC time, collection method, mobile number, and disclosure version with that business's isolated customer record.
- A changed mobile number requires renewed consent. A STOP request immediately supersedes the stored opt-in.
Confirmation and sample messages
Help and opt-out
Recipients can reply HELP for assistance or STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, or CANCEL to revoke consent. After opt-out, only one final confirmation may be sent and no additional messages are permitted unless the recipient affirmatively opts in again.
Mobile opt-in information and consent are never sold,
rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
